Women for Wine Sense Wine & Brunch Pairing

To celebrate Texas Wine Month in October, we are kicking off with a wine-and-brunch pairing experience on Sunday, September 27th at Covington Cellars. While the winery started in Washington state, it was founded by a Texan, Cindy Lawson, and her husband, David. They are thrilled that this year marks the five-year anniversary of their expansion of the brand back into Texas. In partnership with the resident Chef Briana Fuches and our own chapter President and sommelier, Amie Nemec, this event will feature wines perfectly paired with brunch bites. The sit-down brunch has limited seating, and reservations are required. Expect a welcome sangria, four Covington wines, including a Texas-Washington blend, and four small bites of scratch-made brunch dishes. Chef Briana will describe each dish and how it's made, and Amie will share some useful pairing tools to help you enjoy wine paired at your own table. This event is open to everyone, and we will offer an additional fundraiser to support our annual scholarships. Members receive a discount. Please direct any questions to hillcountrywinesense@gmail.com.
