Wine & Food Pairing Classes

Held Wednesday & Thursdays from 7:00-9:00pm throughout the year

Covington Cellars is dedicated to producing exceptional wine and food.  What better place to study the art (and science) of wine and food pairing than at a winery!  This sensory exploration course will teach you various tricks, tips and techniques that will heighten your experience of tasting wine and food together.

Afternoon in the Cellar

Join our Winemaker on a tour of the winery as you learn how we turn grapes into that desirable glass of wine. Try a sample straight from the barrel, and take a seat in the candlelit barrel room to enjoy a flight of wines and food pairings from our kitchen.  Finish the event with a full glass pour of your favorite wine!

Wine Blending Workshop & Four Course Dinner

You’ll begin this unique experience with a two-hour wine blending workshop led by the winemaker. Sample three different red wine varietals and learn what differentiates them from one another. Then, you’ll create a blend of your own.  Once you’ve found the balance that pleases your palate, we’ll cork your bottle so you can take it home.

Afterwards, unwind with your classmates over a four-course, wine paired, family-style dinner that features seasonal, house-made dishes. Learn something, eat something, drink something and take something with you.

Held on Sunday afternoons and Friday evenings throughout the year.  Reservations are required and should be made via our online scheduling calendar.
